Story
The pit is 40°C and wet. The man who goes in first, cuts the face and decides where the roof will come down is the sakiyama. He takes a bath in cold water every half hour, eats a pickled plum for the salt, and goes back in. Tanno San-ji is a sakiyama. He has a pick, a stick of dynamite and a seam of black diamonds above his head.
